This city was my first ‘one-nighter’ on the tour.  We finished up the great food we had been given by the folks at the Packard Music Hall in Warren, and got on the bus.  It was only a 3 or 4 hour drive to Lima so I tried to stay awake until we got to the hotel….It didn’t work.

I woke up on the bus around 5.30 am and walked across the parking lot to get some breakfast at the hotel as that started at 6am.  I managed to stomach a few bites of the strange round meat and man made eggs before I crawled into bed for a few hours more sleep.

Tour Lima BlogLima is a pretty small town but I managed to find a cool little coffee shop called The Meeting Place right across from the theatre to grab bite to eat and do some writing.  It wasn’t long before we had to head to the theatre for our company meeting to check out the space.

Before the first performance in each city we have a meeting to establish where everything will be for the performances in that theatre.  The nature of touring is such that every theatre is different so we have to adapt to a new space every few days.  This is one of the things I enjoy about touring.  Because exits, entrances, marks, spikes, and the running order is constantly changing we always have to be thinking.  The meeting on the first day in a city is important as it gives a chance to make sure we are away of all these changes.

The show that night was great, sold out, and the people that came out to see us were so friendly and appreciative.
