Hershey is the chocolate capital of America…And you could not avoid that by the smell in our hotel. For some reason, despite the fact that you could not smell the Hershey Chocolate factory outside on the street, the hotel decided to pipe the smell of chocolate into the corridors of the buildings. Needless to say, it was not pleasant. Fortunately we were only staying a few days.
The whole really revolves around the Chocolate and the man who gave the company and the town it’s name. Even the street lamps are Hershey’s Kisses!
There was not much to do in the area other than work and the weather wasn’t very good so I didn’t venture out much. I did walk the mile or so to a local restaurant only to be faced with the all to common sight in The United States of disappearing side walks. They really don’t want people to walk anywhere out here!

What could be better than the smell of chocolate??? Never heard anyone else say that’s an unpleasant smell.
Oh man, I wish you could have smelt it. It wasn’t real chocolate, like somebody was melting it in a nearby room, it was a synthetic, sickly fake chocolate smell that hit you in the face every time you walked in!
I agree the “chocolate” smell there smells like an easy bake oven. While I was there for your show I also had the unfortunate experience of that exact same sidewalk that disappeared. *sigh* I’m sorry you didn’t have a better experience there but on a very bright note, my 7 year old was blown away by your show! I haven’t seen him have that much fun in a while. It rivaled Christmas this year! Thank you guys!
